Photoganza 2013

The Evolution Photoganza 2013 is over and was, I believe, a full success. We did a total of 12 dives and saw amazing marine life, from the great thresher shark to a wealth of fascinating small animals. The gobies were my usual favorites, but we also saw a great diversity of mollusks and shrimp. What I had never seen so frequently in Malapascua were large (pumpkin-sized) jellyfish with interesting passengers, such as pilotfish, crabs and brittle stars. As before, I was in awe of the richly covered wall at Monad Shoal and the macro life collection at the Evolution house muck. That’s where I found the beautiful dragonet shown below.

I’m quite happy with a lot of the pictures the participants took during the four days; I hope I had some role in their success!
