Marine Biology Online Resources
Since I started my blog a few years ago I added a few pages which contain useful resources for folks studying marine biology. In this post I am presenting all of them, and I am adding a few words of how they came about:
The Shrimp Goby Page
Making this page was supported by Two Photon Art, and the grant we got from them made me make an effort to put a lot of the content I had about shrimp gobies, mainly images and footage, together. Shrimp gobies are also one of my main academic interests. What are shrimp gobies? Check out the page to find out …
Coral Reefs
I am teaching a class on coral reefs at Silliman University in Dumaguete in the Philippines. These are the lecture notes, bringing together content on corals and the reefs they build from many corners of the internet:
Fish Biology
Another class I am occasionally teaching at Silliman University is Fish Biology:
Conservation Biology
And more lecture notes, this time for conservation biology. The topic has big overlaps with marine biology, and one sub-topic which interests me a lot are invasive species. As the title page indicates, the course goes in depth about the curious case of the invasive lionfish in the Caribbean.
