The Smartest Fish in the Ocean: Coming Up

The two elongated fish in the center of the image above are cleaner wrasses, specialists which remove parasites from other fish. I shot that photo in Apo Island this week. This unique niche these fish occupy has accelerated the evolution of their brains and behaviors. I am still planning to put together a documentary about this amazing species:
