The Stories of My Best Shots #28, Pygmy Seahorse

Seeing majestic large fishes like manta rays and whale sharks is a great experience underwater. But this post is not about them. Rather, it is about one of the smallest fish I’ve ever seen: the pygmy seahorse. This fish hides among the branches of tropical soft corals, and blends in perfectly. It was a great rush to see this one for the first time. Even now, after dozens of pygmy seahorse encounters, it’s still a thrill for me. This one I photographed in Malapascua, Philippines.
