The Stories of My Best Shots #18, Worship the Blue Devil!

This fish is called the Southern Blue Devil. It’s found in temperate Australian waters, and I saw this one in Port Phillip Bay, the large bay Melbourne is located at. And this is how to properly worship the Southern Blue Devil: Get into your wetsuit. Strap on tank, mask and fins. Grab your camera. Jump into the water and look under rock crevices. There, you are likely to encounter the Southern Blue Devil. When you are face to face with this Satan of the southern hemisphere temperate waters, then you must mumble into your regulator “Southern Blue Devil – you areth my overlord, I worship you!”. Speaking into one’s regulator is not easy and should be practiced beforehand. Then, raise your camera housing, focus on the satanic fish’s face, and press down the shutter. Done.
