Finally … a typhoon just hit the Philippines, which always causes tragedy in a country with lots of poor people who can’t build in a very stable manner, and who aren’t supported by readily available disaster relief in many cases. Fortunately our house is solid, and our part of the country, Negros Island, wasn’t hit particularly hard other than a lot of rain, and a water outage a day after the storm.

Diving conditions seem a bit messed up for now, but I made the best of the brilliant weeks in October. And, I have a top dive buddy in Matt who spotted a really unusual marine animal behavior event, which I then filmed:
