Pacificklaus Philippine Dive Decider

You are planning to go on a scuba diving trip to the Philippines? Where is the best place to dive? There is no such a thing? Do you want to see ship wrecks? Do you want to go muck diving? Or are you into sharks? Do you want to party after your dives or take naps? All of these questions will make a difference in deciding where you should head. So, how to figure out which diving location is for you? Check out the new Pacificklaus Philippine Dive Decider! I haven’t been to all of these places, but to most. Comments welcome at klaus@pacificklaus.com

A few comments: this is my impression, if I missed something, I am very happy to update the Dive Decider. Also, virtually every spot in the Philippines will have “critters”, an amazing fauna of small, rare, cryptic animals like frogfish, ghost pipefish,  seahorses and nudibranchs. The “critter” sites above are especially stunning in that regard. Similarly, a few places other than Coran and Subic have wrecks (notably Malapascua has deeper/tech diving range wrecks) but these Coron/Subic are especially noteworthy for wrecks.

Also, check out my interactive map of the great muck diving sites in Dauin. The map links to lots of videos about the dive sites. Enjoy!
