Taxonomic Revision of a Popular Cuttlefish

I just posted a new video about the scientific name change of the flamboyant cuttlefish, plus more mollusk and crab action from the muck diving paradise of Negros Island in the Philippines.

Metasepia pfefferi is now Ascarosepion pfefferi. This already happened in 2023, but I missed it by a bit. The video explains the reasoning behind assigning the popular flamboyant cuttlefish to a new genus. The science of taxonomy, of ordering and naming species, has strict but very intelligent and reasonable rules. This is how the name change was decided upon.
