Underwater Imaging Gear Manufacturers: Your Chance

I AM HEADING TO TUBBATAHA, THE CROWN JEWEL OF PHILIPPINE DIVING , IN JUNE 2023. I AM A PART OF A MARINE BIOLOGICAL EXPEDITION AND I WILL VLOG ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET YOUR SCUBA AND UNDERWATER IMAGING GEAR FEATURED, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!

I love to shoot photographs underwater, and I love to film animal behavior underwater. I am also an actively publishing marine biologist and a popular science writer. I recently released a full-length documentary about “muck diving” in the Philippines, with footage shot over 2 years of intensive diving:

Photography

Check this album out for a best-of selection of my recent photography, most of it underwater photography, all of it nature photography. I think my shots are creative, and technically well done, which is still a challenge underwater, even with the vastly improved gear in the last few years:

Popular Science Books

Aaaand there is more … This is my recent book, on diving and what it does to the human brain. I had previously published popular books on photography, and on gobies (small and very pretty fishes).

So here you come in:

You … that’s camera and underwater camera gear manufacturers.

After many many dives of excellent service, my Olympus TG6 recently kicked the bucket. Went to join its ancestors. Left this plane of reality. It took the eternal nap. I just ordered the same camera model again since it served me so well. However, as my friend Jeff once said, any camera flood/malfunction is a “sign from Neptune for an upgrade”. And there is an increasingly large variety of amazing camera and underwater photo gear available these days. I would like try the ones you manufacture, and tell the world about them.

I use/have used Olympus (EMII, TG6) and Canon (Rebel, EOS 4II) cameras in the past (I loved all of them), and Olympus & Hugyfot housings (also both are great), as well as Inon and Sea&Sea strobes (both are excellent) and Light & Motion and Asafee video light (both did the job really well). I would be excited to work with these manufacturers, or others, though I’d have to do some research of their gear first.

To put it frankly, no, I don’t look good in a bikini, but if you want a brand ambassador who produces high quality popular science/science communication, creative photography and underwater videography and has a sense of humor, too, then get in touch with me.

So, don’t be shy, contact me if you’d like to work with me as a brand ambassador and support my underwater image making.

Best Fishes,

Klaus
